2024 Ford Maverick Performance
Efficiency, power, and work-ready potential — find it all with the 2024 Ford Maverick. Every trim features a standard 2.0L EcoBoost® engine that makes 250 horsepower. Alternatively, each Maverick trim is available with a 2.5L hybrid powertrain that blends the power of a 94-kilowatt electric motor and Atkinson cycle inline four-cylinder (I4) gas engine to achieve up to 42 MPG around town. On top of its efficiency-minded design, the Maverick hybrid boasts a 2,000-pound maximum towing capacity. Double that number and tow up to 4,000 pounds when you equip the EcoBoost engine with all-wheel drive (AWD) and the available 4K Tow Package.
Every Maverick hybrid engine comes fitted to an electronic continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD). An eight-speed automatic transmission distributes power for the EcoBoost engine to just the front wheels, all four wheels with AWD, or all four wheels with advanced four-wheel drive (4WD). This 4WD system, which is required for the optional Tremor® Off-Road Package, optimizes traction for each rear wheel by distributing torque to the wheels with traction using a twin-clutch rear drive unit, plus it features an electronic locking rear differential that will keep both wheels turning at the same speed when traction is at an absolute premium.
