2025 Ford Super Duty® Engines & Towing Guide Engine Specs
There are four robust engines available across the 2025 Ford Super Duty engine lineup. The 6.8L gas V8 engine is standard on the F-250 and F-350 models and achieves up to 405 horsepower. The 7.3L gas V8 engine is available with the same two models and offers an increase of 25 horsepower over the 6.8L V8 engine for a total of 430 horsepower. The 6.8L gas V8 and 7.3L gas V8 are both equipped with a TorqShift®-G ten-speed automatic transmission.
The two hefty turbo diesel Power Stroke® engines can be equipped to any of the Super Duty models. The 6.7L Power Stroke V8 turbo diesel engine reaches an impressive 1,050 pound-feet of torque, while the high-output version of the same engine reaches a whopping 1,200 pound-feet of torque. You’ll find that both Power Stroke engines are mated with a TorqShift ten-speed automatic transmission, which differs from the TorqShift-G transmission in first gear ratio. The TorqShift-G has a ratio of 4.691:1, and the TorqShift has a ratio of 4.615:1.
