The 2025 Ford Bronco and 2025 Jeep Wrangler each come equipped with three engine options. The Bronco is standard with a 300-horsepower 2.3L EcoBoost® inline four-cylinder (I4) engine, while the Wrangler comes standard with a 285-horsepower 3.6L Pentastar® V6. They’re also both standard with 4x4 drivetrains. The most powerful engine for the Bronco is the 3.0L EcoBoost V6, which produces up to 418 horsepower; the Wrangler has an available 6.4L HEMI® SRT® V8 engine that achieves up to 470 horsepower.

If you’re planning to tow a light trailer, either SUV is more than capable, with the Bronco having a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 pounds and the Wrangler offering a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.

Both the 2025 Ford Bronco and 2025 Jeep Wrangler are highly capable off-road vehicles designed for life in the sun. If you’re interested in being able to water-ford successfully, the Ford Bronco Raptor® trim has a maximum water fording depth of 37 inches, while all other Bronco trims can reach a water fording depth of 33.5 inches. Meanwhile, the Wrangler has a maximum water-fording depth of 34 inches.

The Bronco also offers numerous intriguing off-road-capable features, including available HOSS (high-performance off-road stability suspension) systems. HOSS systems make all-terrain drives more enjoyable with improved handling and control. You can disconnect the stabilizer bar with a quick button press, or reconnect automatically if you’re going at speeds of 20 MPH or higher — Bronco Raptor trims can be reconnected at 40 MPH. You’ll also be able to equip 37-inch all-terrain tires to the Bronco Raptor trim or 35-inch rugged-terrain tires if you choose the available Sasquatch Package.

If you’re considering the 2025 Jeep Wrangler, it also offers a variety of impressive off-roading features. There are 33-inch mud-terrain or off-road tires available so you can handle all types of terrain in style. Both offer two seating configurations — if you opt for a two-door body style, you have seating for up to four passengers, while four-door body styles expand that to seating for five passengers. Five-passenger interiors come with a 60/40 split-folding rear seat for a versatile cargo and passenger solution.
